Five battle-tested recipes: 60s educational Short, lecture explainer, talking head + diagrams, brand kit setup, and sharing .explay.

1. The 60-Second Educational Short

  1. Choose Write Prompt and select Shorts (9:16).
  2. Prompt: 'Explain how DNS works in 60s for beginner developers. Use an address book analogy, show client-server arrows, and end with caching.'
  3. Click Generate. Review the script and preview.
  4. Open Captions, enable subtitles, choose a bold preset, and click Apply.
  5. Open Music, pick 'lofi', lower volume to 12%, and click Apply & re-render.

2. The Lecture Audio Explainer

  1. Choose Upload Audio and select your podcast or lecture snippet (under 25 MB).
  2. Choose Full (16:9) or Shorts (9:16).
  3. Review the synchronized English transcript and auto-generated diagrams.
  4. Use the Edit panel to refine equations or technical terms, then click Apply & re-render.

3. Talking-Head Video with Graphic Cutaways

  1. Choose Upload Video with your camera footage.
  2. Enable Video + B-Roll mode.
  3. Keep Scene 1 as Talking Head for an engaging personal intro.
  4. Switch Scene 2 and 3 to B-Roll (Graphics) for full-screen animated diagrams.
  5. Add punch-in zoom on your intro, then render the final video.

4. Company Identity & Custom Brand Kit

  1. Create a named Brand Kit, set dark/light hex colors, and enable desired groups (Shapes, Text, BG).
  2. Import a Google Fonts ZIP containing .ttf files to register your brand font across all weights.
  3. Generate new scenes or click 'Apply & re-render' to enforce company colors onto existing drafts.
  4. Click Save to Drive and download a local .explay backup.

5. Sharing an Editable Project

  1. Render your video completely in the studio.
  2. Click Share or download the .explay project archive.
  3. Send the file to a teammate, client, or external editor.
  4. The recipient opens Explayner, clicks Import, and resumes editing every layer with zero data loss.
