Recommended Environment
For the smoothest generation, canvas manipulation, and rendering performance, use a modern desktop browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, or Arc).
Generation, audio decoding, canvas editing, WebCodecs hardware encoding, and MP4 assembly use substantial browser memory and CPU resources.
Core Requirements Checklist
- Stable Internet Connection: Needed for scene planning, transcription, text-to-speech, and cloud sync.
- Microphone Permission: Required if you choose to record voiceover directly in your browser.
- Browser Storage: Sufficient local storage quota for browser-rendered MP4 video chunks and media assets.
- Modern Web API Support: A browser supporting HTML5 Canvas, Web Audio API, WebCodecs, and Origin Private File System (OPFS).
Connection Verification
If you see 'You are not connected to the internet', restore your connection and click 'Try again'. Explayner verifies live server connectivity rather than relying solely on the browser online flag.
