What can I use to create a video in Explayner?

You can upload spoken audio such as a voice memo, podcast clip, or narration; upload a talking-head video; or write a prompt describing the video you want. Explayner uses your starting content to plan and generate the video.

Do I need video editing experience?

No. Explayner handles the initial scene planning, cutting, syncing, and visual structure. You can then make optional manual adjustments in the canvas editor without learning a traditional timeline-based editor.

Is Explayner available in a browser?

Yes. Explayner runs in your browser and does not require a desktop download. Projects are stored locally on-device using the Origin Private File System when available, with IndexedDB as a fallback.

Can I save or use my Explayner projects on another device?

Yes. You can connect Google Drive to back up projects, import from a shared Drive folder, or import a local .explay project file and continue editing on another device.

Can I edit the video after Explayner generates it?

Yes. The full canvas editor lets you add and adjust shapes, elements, text, images, GIFs, and custom fonts; apply animations; control opacity and timing; zoom the canvas; and edit multiple elements together. Apply Re-render to generate the updated result.

Does Explayner support captions and background music?

Yes. You can enable and style captions from the Captions tab, choose background music from the Music tab, adjust the settings, and apply the changes with a re-render.

Can I use talking-head and split-screen layouts?

Yes. Talking-head footage can be placed in up to eight layouts, including top, bottom, right, center, and corner positions. Explayner also includes a cropping interface for creating split-screen videos.
